November 11 (Friday) – Veteran’s Day Celebration – 11:00 a.m., Davidson Post Office – Please join the Town as we honor those brave men and women who have defended our liberty and freedom over the years. For information, please visit www.ci.davidson.nc.us.

December 1, 2, and 3 (Thursday - Friday – Saturday) – Christmas in Davidson – If you are not a long-time resident of Davidson, or if you are new to the neighborhood, you may not have experienced a very special event in our community – Christmas in Davidson. First held in 1988, Christmas in Davidson signals the beginning of the holiday season and has become a tradition for local families and visitors alike. Three evenings of shopping, entertainment, refreshments and special events are sure to please even Scrooge.

The activities extend all along Main Street from south of Griffith Street (at the WDAV studio) to the arts district on South Main. Those not wanting to walk the distance can take a free trolley ride. Carriage rides run from Town Hall all three nights.

The 18th annual festival starts December 1 (Thursday) at 6:00 p.m. on the Village Green with opening ceremonies and the arrival of Santa Claus. The fun continues on December 2 (Friday) from 6 to 9 p.m. and December 3 (Saturday) from 3 to 9 p.m. The Doggie Fashion Show will be Friday evening on the Village Green at 6:30 p.m. Other events include strolling singers and musicians, games for children, The Connie Company performing at Town Hall, and the live nativity at Davidson United Methodist Church. Each year, a special tee shirt with a distinctive design has been produced to commemorate Christmas in Davidson.
