March 9 (Tuesday) - 2009-2010 Concert Series: Yarn/Wire – The Music Department concludes this season’s series with a performance in Tyler-Tallman Hall, Sloan Music Center at 7:30 p.m. Dedicating themselves to works composed for two pianists and two percussionists, these performers create a unique presence in chamber ensemble music. Tickets: General admission - $20; Faculty/staff/students - $15; Youth 18 and under - $5.Tickets may be purchased online, by calling 704.894.2135, in person at the Union Box Office (Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), or at the door.

March 10 (Wednesday) – 2009-2010 C. Shaw and Nancy K. Smith Artist Series, “Thodos Dance Chicago” – This critically acclaimed group joins this year’s season to perform a varied and highly charged evening of dance. The performance will feature a special repertory addition, Fosse Trilogy which consists of three works originally choreographed by Bob Fosse in the early ‘60s – Mexican Breakfast, Cool Hand Luke, and the Tijuana Shuffle. These works have never been performed on live stage until now. Tickets: General Public - $20; Faculty/Staff - $15. The performance is held in the Duke Family Performance Hall beginning at 8 p.m. For ticket information, call 704.894.2140.

As the basketball season draws to a close, there is plenty of action in other fields. Men’s baseball is in “full swing.” Women’s lacrosse is an interesting spring sport. Track & Field and Tennis are underway for both men and women. Visit the website for home dates and times for these events.
