Town of Davidson Events

April 13 – 15 (Friday – Sunday) – Art on the Green – “April is for Arts and Culture in North Mecklenburg.” Downtown Davidson will present its second Art on the Green. The festival includes a gallery crawl on Friday (6 – 9 p.m.) with artist exhibits, music & dance performances, and food on Saturday (11 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and Sunday (noon – 5 p.m.). The event is free and is part of a larger April celebration including Cornelius and Huntersville. To extend the visibility for artists, there will be an exhibit in Davidson Town Hall before and after the festival.

April 17 (Tuesday) – Lake Norman Senior Fitness Day, Jetton Park (10 a.m. - noon) – Join the Cornelius Parks & Recreation and Davidson Parks & Recreation Departments and North Mecklenburg Senior Services for celebration of “Lake Norman Senior Fitness Day.” In addition to free health and fun fitness activities, there will be light refreshments available, chair massages, disc jockey, and dancing! May 5 (Saturday) – Town Day, Village Green (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.) – The annual spring Town Day festival fills the Village Green with carnival games, crafts, and a variety of food and entertainment for the whole family. (More details to follow.)

June 18 – August 17 - Davidson Parks and Recreation Summer Camps – Sign-up now! Registration began on March 19 for Davidson residents and on March 26 for non-residents. To register, go to the website at www.d-Recs.org or call 704.892.3349. Program offerings are in planning stages and subject to change. The program includes activities for ages 3-16 years and includes camps for dance, music, photography, arts, sports, and outdoor recreation.
