Davidson College Events

March 16 – April 15Out-of-the-Vault Exhibition – Van Every/Smith Galleries of the Katherine and Tom Belk Visual Arts Center - Davidson College’s Permanent Art Collection houses more than 2,700 works. One of the gallery’s leading goals is to increasingly make the collection more accessible. This exhibition will showcase some of the primary works from the college’s holdings. April 3 (Tuesday) – Concert Series – As the final event of the 2006-07 Concert Series, Ira Spaulding (baritone) and John Ferguson (piano) will join forces in a recital of American music from the 18th and 19th centuries, including Broadway, ragtime, and traditional African-American spiritual selections. The program will also include piano music of George Gershwin and works of contemporary composer William Bolcom. The performance will be held in Tyler-Tallman Hall, Sloan Music Center. Tickets are $20 (faculty/staff/seniors - $15) and are available by calling the Union Box Office at 704.894.2135 or online at www.davidson.edu/tickets.

April 18 - 22Anything Goes! – The Davidson College Theatre Department presents the Spring 2007 Production, Cole Porter’s timeless musical classic Anything Goes!, directed by Joe Gardner. Performances will be held in the Duke Family Performance Hall on April 18-19 at 7:30 p.m., on April 20-21 at 8:00 p.m., and on April 22 (matinee) at 2:00 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 (Seniors - $12) and are available by calling the Union Box Office at 704.894.2135 or online at www.davidson.edu/tickets.
