Neighborhood Social Events

All Neighbors Welcome

Every Morning (7:00 a.m.) – The Board Walkers meet at the corner of Twain Avenue and the intersection of Mary Jane McConnell and Miriam G. Tuttle Byways to begin their 50 to 60 minute walk around the area. If you would like more information, please call Bonne McCoy at 704-987-1877.

Community Garden

The Community Garden is located in our neighborhood along the gas pipeline to the east of St. Alban’s Church. This garden has grown in popularity and is expected to expand. If you are interested in being a part of this “growing” experience and want to add your name to the list, please contact Susan Andre at aredtailhawk1@gmail.com.

Neighborhood Dinner Group

The Neighborhood Dinner Group plans were not complete at the time of publishing. Arvind Patil has since notified the e-mail list of details, and they are available on the website.

If you are not already on the notification e-mail list or have questions about the group, please contact Arvind (phone: 704.892.9608, or e-mail: aspatil@bellsouth.net.).

Many Thanks for a Great Event!

The Candidates Forum on Thursday, October 14 was the best ever! Special thanks go to David Boraks of DavidsonNews.net, Bill Russell of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, and Bill McCoy and Sherman Kahn of the neighborhood for their efforts in making this happen. As always, we also want to thank St. Alban’s Episcopal Church for allowing us to host this event in their sanctuary. And most important of all! . . . Remember to VOTE on Election Day, November 2.
