Davidson College Events

April 23 - May 72010 Student Art Exhibition – Katherine and Tom Belk Visual Arts Center – In 1938, freshman Gordon Horton organized the first art exhibition at Davidson College. Now, more than seventy years later, Davidson’s longest running exhibition recalls the original intention: an exhibition for students, by students. The Student Art Exhibition is a celebration of the efforts of students who completed studio courses this year, and while some of the artwork is by Studio Art majors, non-majors complete much of it.

The Van Every/Smith Galleries are open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends from noon to 4 p.m. Programs are free and the public is welcome. For information, call 704.894.2519.
