Every Morning (7:00 a.m.) – The Board Walkers meet at the corner of Twain Avenue and the intersection of Mary Jane McConnell and Miriam G. Tuttle Byways to begin their 50 to 60 minute walk around the area. If you would like more information, please call Bonne McCoy at 704-987-1877.

Community Garden

The Community Garden is located in our neighborhood along the gas pipeline to the east of St. Alban’s Church. This garden has grown in popularity and is expected to expand. If you are interested in being a part of this “growing” experience and want to add your name to the list, please contact Susan Andre at aredtailhawk1@gmail.com.

Neighborhood Dinner Group

March 15 (Tuesday) – Dinner will be held at Al Bosco (new restaurant near Davidson Inn). This is a great opportunity to experience Davidson’s newest restaurant with a special deal from owner Jimmy Freeman just for our neighborhood. As usual, please notify Arvind Patil by Sunday, March 13, if you plan to attend.

Women

March 9 (Wednesday) – Woman’s Bridge Club will meet at 1:00 p.m. Mary Bilbrough will host the group at her daughter’s home at 129 O. Henry Avenue. March 16 (Wednesday) – New Da Daytimers Book Club will meet at the home of Lovenia Summerville (239 Twain Avenue) at 10:00 a.m. March’s book selection is Born Fighting by James H. Webb. Men

March 10 (Thursday) - Men’s Group Breakfast will meet at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 7:30 a.m. The men have their breakfast on the second Thursday of each month. St. Alban's Church — Neighbors Welcome!

March 30 (Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.) - 2010-2011 Concert Series: “The Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford” – Hear the glorious sounds of one of England’s oldest and finest choirs of men and boys as they begin their American tour here in Davidson. The choir will perform works spanning its 500-year history. Don’t miss your chance to hear this spectacular ensemble in the intimate and warm acoustic of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church.
