Good Neighbor’s Service

If anyone in the neighborhood has difficulty getting to the post office, grocery store, dry cleaners, etc., during inclement weather or due to an illness or disability, there is a group of your neighbors who stand ready to make that trip for you. If you need assistance call anyone on the list found in the print version of the newsletter.

Please call Dave Smith at 704.987.1472 if you wish to be included. During the next several months, an effort will be made to update this list and to add it as a separate entry on the website.

Feeling Creative? Art within Reach!

The Creative Art Exchange (a non-profit organization formerly known as the Icehouse Center for Creativity, Craft & Design) has a mission to inspire creativity and build community through art. Please visit the new location and gallery in Cornelius (19725 Oak Street, Unit 1 – behind the Police Department). Inquire about classes. Summer camp registration is underway. Opportunities include ceramics, drawing, painting, and photography. Visit www.creativeartexchange.org or call 704.892.7323 for information and registration.

Enjoy a casual evening of art, food, and fun and join the Creative Art Exchange for the second annual fundraising event and art auction: “A Taste of Art,” Friday, May 16 (7:00 p.m.). Reserve your tickets today at 704.892.7323.
