Town of Davidson Events

July 4 (Tuesday) – Fourth of July Celebration – McEver Field (South Street), 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. – This annual fun-filled evening will begin with a small town parade at 6:15 p.m. from the Town Hall and end at McEver Field. We encourage everyone to come out and march in the parade dressed in your best Independence Day attire. People have been known to dress-up their dogs, wagons, bicycles, children, and even Big Wheels in patriotic pageantry. At McEver Field, festivities will include a children’s amusement area, stage performances, concessions, and the most spectacular fireworks show in the Lake Norman area. The Breeze Band performs from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, but there is a fee for amusements and concessions. This is a family event, so come early and bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

Free parking is available in downtown Davidson, Davidson United Methodist Church, and Davidson College’s Baker Sports Complex. The town will provide free shuttle service from each site. (Please note that parking for this event is NOT permitted at Davidson Elementary School, Calvary Presbyterian Church, McEver Field, or along South Street.)
