Town of Davidson Events

July 4 (Tuesday) – Fourth of July Celebration – McEver Field (South Street), 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. - The McIntosh Law Firm and Davidson Parks and Recreation Department present this annual event. A fun-filled evening will begin with a small town parade at 6:15 p.m. from the Town Hall and ending at McEver Field. At McEver Field, festivities will include a children’s amusement area, stage performances, concessions, and the most spectacular fireworks show in the Lake Norman area. We encourage everyone to come out and march in the parade dressed in your best Independence Day attire. The Showmen, performing live from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., are still making “Sweet Beach Music.”
Parking is available in downtown Davidson, Davidson United Methodist Church, Davidson College’s Baker Sports Complex, and the Cotton Mill on Depot Street. The town will provide free shuttle service from each site. For more information, please call Angela Blashaw with Davidson Parks and Rec at 704.892.3349 (ext. 261).
