Neighborhood Social Events

SPINN pictures are on display in the windows of Main Street Mortgage (122 St. Alban’s Lane). Thanks go to Doug Boone and Dave Smith for the photography. Many thanks go to Suzanne Boylston (Caldwell Lane) who did a great job of mounting the pictures on display board and to Main Street Mortgage for allowing the Association to display them in their windows.

Neighborhood Discussion Group

The Neighborhood Discussion Group will not meet during July or August. Please watch for the next meeting date in the September or October newsletter.

The June meeting was an enjoyable presentation by John Williamson, neighborhood resident and retired Professor and Chair of the Biology Department at Davidson College. His pictorial presentation of “Genes Affecting Coat Color in Dogs” was not only interesting, but changed how many of us now see our dogs. Did you know that all dogs are either black or brown? The next time you are walking your dog, be sure to ask John if you happen see him on O. Henry. You may be surprised!

Note: The Neighborhood Discussion Group provides quality programs of interest and benefit to all residents of New Neighborhood in Old Davidson. Arvind Patil and Sherman Kahn have done an outstanding job in helping to arrange and organize these programs. We definitely want to see attendance and interest in this activity grow.
If you have ideas about topics you would like to see the Neighborhood pursue, please let your wishes be known. Please contact Arvind Patil at 704.892.9608 (e-mail at aspatil@bellsouth.net) or Sherman Kahn at 704.655.8965 (e-mail at wa8lit@aol.com).
