Every Morning (7:00 a.m.) – The Board Walkers meet at the corner of Twain Avenue and the intersection of Mary Jane McConnell and Miriam G. Tuttle Byways to begin their 50 to 60 minute walk around the area. If you would like more information, please call Bonne McCoy at 704-987-1877.

Neighborhood Dinner Group

The Neighborhood Dinner Group will meet on Tuesday, April 21, at T1 Tapas, located in Birkdale Village (across from Dressler’s). This new and unique restaurant brings innovation to the dining experience by combining high tech with a global tapas menu. It has electronic menus, interactive touch screens, and ground breaking private connection booths, where one can have personalized audio-video capabilities. Special foods and wines (bottles at half price) have been planned. As usual, the evening will start at 6:00 p.m. with a social hour, followed at 7:00 p.m. by dinner. A menu and other details will be sent to the e-mail list in advance of the event. Please let Arvind know by Sunday, April 19, if you plan to attend.

Women

April 8 (Wednesday) – Women’s Bridge Club will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Barbara Johnston, 233 Twain Avenue. If you plan to play, please call Barbara at 704.892.3101. April 15 (Wednesday) - The New Da Daytimers Book Club will meet at the home of Sheila Allen (170 Clemens Place) at 10:00 a.m. This month’s book selection is People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. Members should call Sheila at 704.655.2735 if they are attending. The club meets on the third Wednesday of each month. Men

April 9 (Thursday) - Men’s Group Breakfast will meet at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 7:30 a.m. The men have decided to continue their breakfast each month at the Cookhouse Restaurant location.
