April 3 (Thursday) – Community Education Forum, Davidson Town Hall (6:30 – 8:00 p.m.) – The Town of Davidson is partnering with Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools to host a Community Education Forum so parents and citizens can hear from CMS officials about issues affecting students in Davidson. The first forum (March 27) focused on elementary school topics. The second and final forum will focus on middle school and high school issues. Principals from area schools will be present. Discussion items will include an update on facilities and student assignment, information from North Learning Community Area Superintendent Hugh Hattabaugh, a description of curriculum, and other topics. There will be time for questions of CMS staff. The forum will offer insight as to how things have changed as a result of the move to decentralize CMS through the addition of the North Learning Community and the North Learning Community Area Superintendent’s Office.

April 12 (Saturday) – Rummage Sale, Village Green (8:00 a.m.) – Join the sixth annual community rummage sale. Items will include furniture, kitchen items, clothing, books, children’s toys, bicycles and much more. More than 20 families set up sales in 2007.
