Mark Your Calendars Early

The Candidate’s Forum held in New Neighborhood around election time has now become a fall tradition. The forum will be co-sponsored by Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce (Bill Russell), DavidsonNews.net (David Boraks, editor), and St. Alban’s Square Neighborhood Association (Bill McCoy & Sherman Kahn, co-organizers). Races this year for seats on the Davidson Town Board will bring forth many new faces. Don’t miss an opportunity to be informed of the issues and the candidate’s views on your future.

Please join this Candidate’s Forum on Tuesday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at St. Alban’s Church. The meeting will be open to other neighborhoods and the Lake Norman community and, with increased area publicity, we expect a large turnout.

St. Alban’s Church – Neighbors Welcome!

September 25 (Sunday, 3:00 p.m.) - 2011-2012 Concert Series (“BachFest VI: Concerti!”) –The eighth season of the concert series opens with BachFest VI, a feast of baroque concertos. Though today we tend to think of a concerto as a piece for a solo instrument with orchestra, the concerto began as a small group of musicians playing in contrast with a larger group. Baroque descriptions include words such as “skirmishes,” “interruptions,” and “competitions.” This program will include all of the above. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling 704.941.0650 (Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). General admission: $15; Students & Seniors: $10; Children under 12: Free. Visit www.musicatstalbans.net for more information.
