This is the time of year that we wind down from the lazy days of summer and wind up to the new school year, college football games, the World Series, and frost on the pumpkin. I’ve always thought that timing was all wrong when preparing resolutions for the New Year. The “new” year starts in the dead of winter and we just are not very serious about many things at that time.

However, the fall of the year is a different story. This is the time for things to happen and the time to make resolutions. It is also time for the annual Membership Meeting for the Association. We elect two new representatives to the Council of Stewards and we often see new faces and members on the neighborhood committees. There are plenty of openings on all committees. I highlight our volunteers in each newsletter in bold print. Find a committee member or Council member at the Membership meeting and match a need for your talents and interests! Please put your name in bold and make a resolution to be a New Neighborhood volunteer!

"Time is the coin of your life. It is the only coin you have, and only you can determine how it will be spent. Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you." Carl Sandburg (1878-1967)

and only you can determine how it will be spent.
Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.”
