Neighborhood Discussion GroupCandidates’ Forum This is an “off-election” year in the minds of many voters. However, four of the nine seats of the Mecklenburg County Commission are up for election and all are being contested. The spaces that will appear on the ballet on November 7 are for the three at-large seats and the District 1 (North Mecklenburg) seat (all 2-year terms). It is hoped that we will have all eight candidates on a panel at this September meeting. After a brief introduction, several minutes will be
allocated to each candidate to make a statement. The moderator, our
own Bill McCoy, will follow with some general questions for each
candidate. Questions will then be taken from the audience. Refreshments
and time to meet each candidate will follow the forum. Viva Vivaldi!September 24 (Sunday) – Viva Vivaldi!
