Davidson College EventsSeptember 1 - 29 – Faculty Art Exhibition - This exhibition in the Van Every/Smith Galleries will feature new works by Davidson’s four studio art professors, including the debut of works by the college’s new Visiting Assistant Professor of Art, Tonya Clay. The Van Every/Smith Galleries are open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from noon to 4 p.m. All programs are free and the public is welcome. September 7 (Thursday)– Concert Series, Davidson College – Pianist Jon Nakamatsu and cellist Alan Black will perform at 8:00 p.m. in Tyler-Tallman Hall of Sloan Music Center. Nakamatsu was named Debut Artist of the Year in 1998 by NPR’s “Performance Today.” He has produced six albums, and toured Japan this summer with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra.
