Music Series at St. Alban's, Sunday May 7,
Henry Lebedinsky, Organist

May 7 (Sunday) – Music Series at St. Alban’s – Henry Lebedinsky, Organ – St. Alban’s Episcopal Church (3:00 p.m.) – Join organist and director of music, Henry Lebedinsky, for a recital demonstrating the beauty and versatility of St. Alban’s 1865 George Stevens pipe organ. Works of Bach, Mendelssohn, Gigout, and others will be performed, along with improvisations by Lebedinsky. A tour of the organ and demonstration for audience members of all ages will follow the concert. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Children under 10 years are free. May 10 (Wednesday) - The Women’s Wednesday Bridge Club has permanently moved their meeting time from the third Wednesday to the second Wednesday of each month. In May, the club will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Jennifer Welsch, 222 O. Henry Avenue. If you plan to play, please call Jennifer at 704.892.6917. May 15 (Monday) - Women’s Group Breakfast –The activity will continue on the third Monday of each month. May’s breakfast will again be at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 9:00 a.m. So far, attendance has been manageable by the restaurant, so there is no need to call Patti Mercer if you are planning to attend. However, if you have questions about the restaurant location and directions, or if you need a ride, please call Patti at 704.894.9411. Don’t miss a good meal with great neighbors!

May 17 (Wednesday) – New Da Daytimers Book Club will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the home of Marta MacCallum (331 O. Henry Avenue). This month’s book is Founding Mothers by Cokie Roberts. May 11 (Thursday) – Men’s Group Breakfast – The neighborhood men will meet at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 7:30 a.m. The group will continue to meet the second Thursday of every month.
