Every Morning (7:00 a.m.) – The Board Walkers meet at the corner of Twain Avenue and the intersection of Mary Jane McConnell and Miriam G. Tuttle Byways to begin their 50 to 60 minute walk around the area. If you would like more information, please call Bonne McCoy at 704-987-1877.

Neighborhood Dinner Group

The Neighborhood Dinner Group will meet on Tuesday, March 24, at Sangam Indian Cuisine in Cornelius (Shoppes on the Green, Exit 28 off I-77). As usual, the evening will start at 6:00 p.m. with a social hour, followed at 7:00 p.m. by dinner. A menu will be sent to the e-mail list in advance of the event. Please let Arvind know by Sunday, March 22, if you plan to attend. Sangam has gotten excellent reviews from all that have tried the restaurant. This should prove to be another successful outing with fun and great food. Our thanks go to Arvind Patil for varied and well planned dinners!

Women

March 11 (Wednesday) – Women’s Bridge Club will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Barbara Johnston, 233 Twain Avenue. If you plan to play, please call Barbara at 704.892.3101. March 16 (Monday) – The Women’s Group Breakfast will meet at The Egg at Davidson Cafe (Sadler Square Shopping Center on Griffith Street, next to Home Economist Market) at 10:00 a.m. If you want more information or need directions, please call Phyllis Twitty at 704.896.6328.

March 18 (Wednesday) - The New Da Daytimers Book Club will meet at the home of Pat Andrews (211 Fairview Lane) at 10:00 a.m. This month’s book selection is Irish Country Doctor by Patrick Taylor. Men

March 12 (Thursday) - Men’s Group Breakfast will meet at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 7:30 a.m. The men have decided to continue their breakfast each month at the Cookhouse Restaurant location. April 5 (Sunday, 3:00 p.m.) – 2008-2009 Concert Series “VOX and Friends, David Tang, Director” – Charlotte’s professional singing sensation – VOX – brings its trademark concert of hope and brotherhood to St. Alban’s in a diverse program of vocal music, including foot stompin’, high energy Gospel music and some of the region’s best Gospel musicians. Under the direction of David Tang and Peppie Calvar and performing Classical, Folk, Jazz, World and Gospel music, VOX brings you the world by performing the best in vocal music in an eclectic performance that you will never forget.
