With the end of 2009 comes the end of the first decade of the 21st century. It was an explosive ten years, to say the least. Our nation and the world experienced the horrible images of 9-11 and saw our country go to war in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Terrorism has become a word that needs no definition, even for the youngest of our citizens. 2008-2009 saw the economy collapse at the hands of greed and mismanagement. The United States saw changes to the political spectrum that it would never have seen in its vision during the 20th century.

Where are we headed in the second decade of the 21st century? No one knows for sure, but I do know that we all must do “our part” to make it a positive time. We must think “BIG” and try to make a difference.

“One can never consent to creep when one feels an impuse to soar.”
