February 11 (Sunday, 3:00 p.m.) – Turku – Nomads of the Silk Road, 2006-2007 Concert Series - St. Alban’s Episcopal Church – TURKU is an ensemble of musicians and dancers based in the Carolinas who recreate the exotic and irresistible rhythms of the cultures along the western half of Central Asia’s fabled Silk Road. Featuring colorful costumes and dramatic staging, TURKU’s tapestry includes Turkish, Persian. Uzbek, Azeri, Kurdish, Turcoman, and Romany cultures.
