The Last PageAs the holiday season approaches, 2005 comes to a close and we can
look back on the past year and reflect on what was and what might
have been. As with any other year, 2005 brought both the expected
and the unexpected. The war in Iraq continues; hurricane Katrina
all but destroyed New Orleans and parts of Mississippi; the death
toll is still rising from the devastating earthquake in Pakistan;
hurricane rains also took a toll in Mexico and Central America; France
has experienced unprecedented civil riots and unrest; oil and gasoline
prices hit an all-time high in this country. “Reach out and give hope to someone in need during the coming year.” Have a wonderful holiday season!— Dave Smith (and this is “the last page. . .”) |
