“The one serious conviction that a man should have
is that nothing is to be taken too seriously.”

— Nicholas Butler

This marks the delivery of the second annual April Fool’s Issue. [See print version.] I trust everyone made it through the article about our roads without allowing anger, frustration, or heart failure to dominate emotions. Our roads are safe, but this might actually make a good plot for a future Stephen King novel.

As for ThunderFlush, please reserve an extra place in your heart for Pat Stenhouse. It is extremely difficult living with a genius and great inventor. I might also mention that during Mike’s experimental prototype phase, the plumber’s truck was seen in the driveway numerous times. (But then, success is the culmination of many failures.)

“Those who can laugh without cause have either
found the true meaning of happiness
or have gone stark raving mad.”

— Norm Papernick

I hope to insert more humor in future issues. Although the newsletter is an important means of communicating key information and neighborhood policy, we need to laugh more often. Please call or e-mail me with any amusing stories from New Neighborhood. Pictures are always welcome.

By the way, the giant rabbit-like creature that was spotted in the neighborhood last year – well, it was never caught! It’s that time of year again, so please beware!

— Dave Smith (and this is “the last page. . .”)

Really . . . I’m not kidding!
