Women'sFebruary 15 (Wednesday) – New Da Daytimers Book Club will meet at 10:00 a.m. at the home of Luann Christine (117 North Faulkner Way). February 15 (Wednesday) – The Women’s Wednesday Bridge Club will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Jean Gilcrest, 237 North Faulkner Way. If you plan to play, please call Jean at 704.895.0839. For more information about the Bridge Club, please also contact Jean Gilcrest. February 20 (Monday) - Women’s Group Breakfast – The activity will continue in 2006 on the third Monday of each month. February’s breakfast will again be at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 9:00 a.m. So far, attendance has been manageable by the restaurant, so there is no need to call Patti Mercer if you are planning to attend. However, if you have questions about the restaurant location and directions, or if you need a ride, please call Patti at 704.894.9411. We look forward to adding your name to the attendance and the appetites! The New Da Women’s Group needs a volunteer! Luann Christine (704.987.1527) and Pat Stenhouse (704.895.1900) did an excellent job of planning activities for this group for a couple of years and are now looking for someone who is willing to take over the organization. This was a popular neighborhood activity and we would like to continue regular events. Please give Luann or Pat a call if you are interested. Men'sFebruary 9 (Thursday) – Men’s Group Breakfast – The neighborhood men will meet again at the Cookhouse Restaurant (Shoppes on the Green complex, exit 28 in Cornelius) at 7:30 a.m. The group will continue to meet the second Thursday of every month. Attendance has grown and the restaurant has requested that we give them an estimate of the number in advance. Please contact Bill McCoy if you plan to attend or if you have questions or suggestions about the breakfast (704.987.1877). January 19 (Thursday) – Men’s Dinner Out will continue on the third Thursday of every other month in 2006, with the next dinner scheduled for March. Please watch for details in the March newsletter. January’s dinner at History’s Tavern on South Main Street in Mooresville was attended by a small, but hardy, group. The BBQ ribs were a hit. your family to a festive “Evening in Italy!” Dine
on delicious Italian cuisine while enjoying music, fellowship,
and fun. Tickets sell out quickly, so all church members
and friends of St. Alban’s are encouraged to buy your
tickets as soon as possible since this event will also be
open to the community. Look for ticket sellers in the narthex
before and after church services or stop by the church office
from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday.
